Creating a V on the floor. Your starting positing is at the. A simpler way to think about the step is “forward, forward, back together”.

How To:

1. Right Step 1/8 Right.

Grapevine or Vine

A Grapevine or commonly known as a Vine, travel to the left or to the right. The pattern is normally in 4 counts travelling each way. Vines are not to be confused with Weaves -

How To:

Right Vine
1. Right Step to Right Side.
2. Left Step Behind Right.
3. Right Step to Right Side.
4. Left Tap to Right Side.

1. Left Step to Left Side.

Walking

It’s as easy as it sounds. Walking is simply putting one foot in front or behind of each other like walking down the street. This is in many dance routines from Beginners to Intermediate. Whether you are walking forward or backwards the entire pattern is a count of 4 beats. A simple way to understand that is each step is a beat of music.

How To:

Walking Forward
1. Step Right Foot Forward.
2. Step Left Foot Forward.
3. Step Right Foot Forward.
4. Step Left Foot Forward.

Walking Backwards
1. Step Right Foot Back.
2. Step Left Foot Back.
3. Step Right Foot Back.
